A very quiet and calming interior design is a wonderful and pleasing experience in Boise. A cozy dining experience: Soft and relaxing earth tones. Exquisite place settings and decor. Individual and private dining areas are available. Be sure to take your own wines on Monday nights and share them. There is no corkage fee on Monday nights. From our wine cellar, we took a 1978 Ravenswood Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma County, Olive Hill Vineyards), that was superb and a 1993 Ravenswood Late Harvest Gewurztraminer (Sonoma Valley) that was perfect with chocolate and cheesecake. Food presentation is beautifully and artfully prepared and presented. One almost refuses to "destroy" the presentation. Take a camera - the presentation is that delightful. Wonderful serving dishes and pleasant to the eye. You are greated with a one-third glass of champagne and between courses your are presented with palate cleansers such as Shrimp Wrapped in Philo with Lemon Zest and Lobster Row or Sorbet. Unexpected and delightful. Food quality is superb! The Thinly Sliced Maine Sea Scallops with Olive Oil, Lemon Confit and Fleur de Sel and the Carpaccio of Atlantic Blue Fin Tuna with Roasted Porcine, Micro Greens and Soy-Truffle Vinaigrette are absolutely superb, beautiful and delicious. The food quality is heavenly. Service is extremely formal, good and polite. The waite staff is not over bearing and they are not anxious for you to finish. They explain every dish that is presented - the name and the ingredients. The cost ranges: expensive but worth every penny! You can get the entrées consisting of dishes like Canadian Harpoon Caught Swordfish, Braised Niman Ranch Prime Rib, Duck Confit or Grimaud Farms Guinea Hen Cassoulet to name a few. You can also get a "Three Course Prix Frix" for $40.00 per person or the "Andrae's Tasting Menu" for $70.00 per person. Dinner prices range from $30.00 to $70.00 per person. The menu changes seasonally so this is just a sample.      +
A great place to take your wife or husband or "To-Be's". Actually I need more stars for this one. Definitely a top restaurant in Boise and one of the best I have ever eaten in worldwide, bar none! We will return to Andrae's.
