Donnie Mac's Trailer Park Cuisine On Grove St. between 15th and 16th Streets, Boise (208) 384-9008 |
The kitchen counters are a mock-up of a trailer with tail gate counters. Some “seating” is in old cars that have been redesigned to accomodate space for a table. Very open areas for seating. Large fans move the air around, not air conditioners. Someone did a great job in designing the restaurant. | Food presentation is OK. All foods are served in baskets with paper lining. One must ask for silverware. | Food quality is good. A very good variety of offerings that include great hamburgers, mac 'n cheese, mini corndogs and French fried sweet potatoes. A Kids menu is available. Other entreés include salads, soups, hot dogs and meat loaf. A very excellant selection. | Service is good. The waite staff is courteous and polite. They “Walk to the Beat of a Different Drummer”. | The cost is in line with the food quality. Appetizers range from $3.00 to $7.99. Burgers range from $$6.95 to $7.95. All other entrées are priced in line. They have a very good soft icecream. Beer and wine are available. | Definitely a 3-Star restaurant. Good food and interesting decor. We will return to Donnie Mac's. |
