Don't be discouraged by the exterior. The interior is best described as authentically humble with family operated pride. Authentic photos and decorations on the walls; delightfully clean; humble surroundings and table settings. A delightful facility. Seating is limited to about 15 tables. | Food presentation is superb! Full use of decoration ability on the served dishes. A simple elegance. | Food quality is superb! You must try the Riverwalk Salad. (Standard salad fare, but with chicken, sliced hard boiled eggs and a wonderful warm house dressing.) Coconut Milk Hot and Sour Soup with chicken and lemon grass is superb. The Catfish dish they have is delicious. The Stir Fried Chicken (or Tofu) is fantastic. | The service was good and the waite staff polite and helpful. Everything is made fresh, so be prepared to somewhat wait for your order. | Cost was in line with the quality and serving sizes. Appetizers range from $3.00 - $4.00; Salads $3.50 - $7.25; Specials $7.50 - $13.50; Fried Rice Dishes $5.00 - $7.00. Two of us ate for $47.00. | This is a delightful place to eat if you are in Pocatello, ID or Lava Hot Springs. Rates with Mai Thai in Boise for the food quality. And yes, I would write home to Mom about this one. Well worth the stop. Do enjoy, Riverwalk Thai Restaurant in Lava Hot Springs, ID! |
